I have small red dots on my left knee and my right shin. They are not raised, nor do they have pus. They are very itchy, I thought I was allergic to something but they have been there for a year. Someone told me it could be scabies, but I also heard that it would be between my fingers or in the groin area. I also noticed that my sskin on my lips are peeling a little and also small red sores on my tongue. Is it posible that I have scabies? Is there anything I can use to treat this at home?
My fiance has only noticed a small patch of dry skin the size of a quarter on his ankle but no red dots like chiggers.
Not sure, Nicole, but almost certainly nothing serious. If they're flat, they are probably superficial blood vessels, that sometimes become visible on the legs, especially of women. No significance, and they go away on their own. If the bumps are raised and tender, or if they just hang around for more than a couple of months, have a doctor take a look.
Best.
