My 18month old daughter has had a rash since she was born, it starts on her calf as little bumps under the skin, that turn redder and redder and become inflammed they then gather together, and are itchy. The doctors at first thought it was some sort of fungal infection, then scabies and now eczema. I dont think it is. As the treatment dont work infact they make it worse. It tends to spread around her legs to her feet up her torse. I have tried removing all chemicals in clothes softers and creams but this only stop it irritating as much. Please help i have been to 2 different dermatologist who give me very expenses cream that only worsens the problem , no body will listen that its not exzema (eczema) plz can someone give me an idea of what else it could possibly be. They have given various creams at the moment I have to put cedephil on 1 day then Locoid Lipocream. (previously I was putting on Triamcinolone Acetonide) which the rash seems to spread to the areas not covered by the cream
in children suggest a likely eczematous or dermatitic condition. You have mentioned of itchiness and redness which are characteristics of both a fungal infection and a dermatitis.
Is there any associated decrease in appetite or activity? Any changes in the rash eg discoloration, crusting, scaling ?
Is there any strong history of allergies or asthma in your family
