Lip Skin Peeling

Dear Doc,
I have been experiencing peeling skin from lips for the past 7 yrs.When the lips come in contact with any liquid (water for example), the skin becomes soft and eventually falls off leaving behind a raw,red,burning lips (full bottom and centre part of the top only). I have used several steroids previously with no success.I tried using vaseline and lip balms with no result at all.The skin of the lips grown back real quick within days and kindoff forms a thick buildup.I don't have any itching problem.When i eat, the touch of food turns my lip skin yellow.I try to snip off loose skin hanging on top of my lips and wash the lips with water instead of pulling the skin which i used to do previously(i believe this has made things worse).I am a slim guy with no real other health issues except a runny nose problem.I have tried my level best to understand the root cause behind this lip problem with no clue.The only thing that i remember is that it could have started from lip licking which i used to do a lot some years back.Could this be 'Lip Lickers Dermatitis'.Some derms i met diagnosed it to be either cheilitis or lichen planus.I tried alopathy,accupuncture,homeopathy,ayurveda to no avail.This problem has tremendoulsy hampered my self-confidence and social life.I want to get rid of this once and for all.There is a forum on the website which is termed as 'Forum For Exfoliative Cheilitis'.Members of this forum are sufferers of almost same problem as i am experiencing for the last 7 years.If you just google the above statement, you can easily find this forum.I wish to help them too if i could help myself through your expert advice.I am sure you won't dissapoint me.I am eagerly waiting for a reply back from you soon.Thanking You.
