Hi! I hope you are well. Did you ever find out what this was?
Hello,
This honeycomb pattern can be due to livedo reticularis. It appears like a lace-like purplish discoloration of the lower extremities. It can be due to blood diseases, autoimmune (rheumatologic) diseases, heart (cardiovascular) diseases, cancers, and endocrine disorders. It can usually (in 80% of cases) be diagnosed by biopsy.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thanks again so very much!
Will certainly do that.
I am not experiencing any symptoms.
I will do some research on autoimmune disease and see if the shoe fits.
Your welcome. I'd make an appt with your primary too for some bloodwork for autoimmune disease. Good luck-
Look up livedo reticularis and determine if that looks like what you are experiencing.
