Mole removal scar has brown spots

I had a mole that i removed using dermatend. The mole was removed fine but when the scar was fully healed, underneath the layer of skin are dark spots. Its almost as if the middle of the scar is dark brown. What is this? Is it the mole growing back? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Sometimes there is incomplete removal of mole and in that case, the hyperpigmentation may persist. Talk to your dermatologist and discuss about reprocedure so that the hyperpigmentation can be decreased.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

Hello,
I contacted the people at dermatend and they said it could be the root is still there and to do another round of the product. Do you think that is what i should do? It has been over a month, almost two months since it was removed.

Hello,
It sounds like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is quite common after such procedures. It should go away on its own after some time. If it still persists then please consult a dermatologist and discuss the possibilities of chemical peeling, microdermabraion and laser treatment with them.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
