Moles grown on areola during pregnancy

I am 34 weeks pregnant. I know the whole nipple/areola area gets bigger and darker and changes shape during pregnancy but I have some small moles and a big one now next to my nipples on the areola. I noticed them about a month or so ago. I've never had anything like these on my nipples before so I was wondering if it's normal. Two of  these moles also have tiny black dots on them. The midwife said I shouldn't worry about them. They don't hurt or bleed but look like if I pick at them enough I could just peel them off which seems weird...
I read on the net that other people had moles during pregnancy and they disappeared after. But I'm also worried whether they might cause a problem when breastfeeding.
Should I go to see a specialist or wait to see what happens to them after giving birth? Can they cause a problem when breastfeeding?

I have the same problem! I have  little moles on my breast around my areolas as well as on my legs close to my Crotch. They are called "skin tags" The doctor said they develop during pregnancy and it is fairly normal due to the increase of your hormone levels. They most likely will subside post birth, but sometime it takes a little time.

Hello,

Pregnancy-related hormones can cause skin darkening and moles to enlarge and change with pregnancy or new moles to appear. These moles are a normal finding in pregnancy. They are not a cause of trouble but if they enlarge or change in size or shape or have an irregular border, then melanoma has to be ruled out.

They mostly disappear after delivery and if present then they do not interfere with breast feeding and eventually disappear in the course of time.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries.
