Molluscum Contagious

My 5 year old was diagnosed as having Molluscum Contagious.  Since his diagnosis it has spread from being contained to his underarm to his entire body, including his private area.  His family doctor says it has to clear up on its own and there is no treatment for this condition.  Is there anything I can do for my child for this condition, or do I in fact have to let it clear on its own?

I have had those same circles with black dots on the bottom of my feet. I went to the doctor and they are called "plantar warts." You can get over the counter medicine...some kind of Dr.Scholls round bandaid thing. I used them religiously every day, along with some kind of over the counter acid stuff...near all the other Dr. Scholls items. Used it for 3 months and they are gone! Hope it helps.

Hello,
Molluscum contagiosum is a common, benign, self limiting viral infection of the skin. It generally affects children and typically occurs in the 2-5 age group.Mostly it is self limiting but in severe cases, treatment includes physical destruction or manual extrusion of the lesions, cryotherapy, and curettage.

Pls discuss these treatment options with a dermatologist.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.

I have a few small circles on the bottom of my feet, below my toes. Looking closely it looks like they each have tiny dots inside. Does anyone have any idea what it could be??? I'm trying to find a way to treat them.
