irritation and pus under head of penis.

I've had some cuts on the top of the shaft of my penis (right below the head) for the past few months. It acts like dry, chapped skin, as it breaks and splits more as the penis becomes erect, but it is very moist. The cuts seem to be producing a white-ish yellow lotion-like substance that collects under the head of the penis. It is painful and itchy at times, but there has been no other discharge from the penis other than the substance coming directly from the area with the cuts and irritation. I shower daily (sometimes twice daily) and always give the area a good cleaning, but that white/yellow lotion-ish, pus-esque substance keeps coming back.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you very much for your help.

The problem has been there for a while and has gotten significantly worse over the past week. I think I'll wash it with fresh water for about a week, then see someone if it doesn't show any signs of improvement.

Again, thanks for your advice. I truly appreciate it.

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin.

If still the symptoms do not improve then please get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist. Fungal infections have to be ruled out.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
