Pain near the corona - under the penis

Hello,

During sex penetration has now become very painful under my penis - where the skin seems to attach with the penis. 1 month ago it happened to bleed during sex (at 2 different places on the vein at the same spot) and since them it became very sensitive.

Thanks.

Hi,

So I guess I will be patient and apply 'fast healing/antibacterial cream'. Now I am quite reassured about the problem and I do not think I need to go to hospital. 2 weeks is not long - I'm a patient man! My partner is young and she has never given birth. Although it was feeling like her vagina was causing laceration to my penis as you said.

Rgds.

Hi,

It is possible that the white tissue could be scar tissue. Scar tissue causes more pain on stretching.
Yes it could be taking longer to heal. But, should be fine in another 2 weeks or so (if that long!).

Condoms would be safer to prevent any further injury and a chemist may have them in the size you may need.

The reason I asked about the partner is, if she had childbirth issues (such as a stitch which has not been removed), it could have caused laceration of the foreskin junction.

Regards

Hi doctor:

1. Yes it happened with the same partner. I was really wondering if she was 'too small for me' but first we had rough sex for 2 weeks without any problems, then last month the lesion/bleeding, and yesterday the pain (it feels like a sting - very painful but short lived).
2. The pain is only under the penis - where the foreskin attaches the shaft. Not near the 'tip' or near the abdomen. It's only 1 spot and it's very specific (where 1 of the 2 lesions had occurred 1 month ago).
3. Actually I was fool enough to think that some 'attachment' got rupture and that's why the pain occurred. But now I doubt my earlier theory and I think it is only a lesion that takes more than a few weeks to cure. (Is this possible?!) I did not notice anything on the vein except that now the skin if very white at the 2 previously injured spots (it appears like new skin to my untrained eye).
4. Yes, I believe it was traumatic. But very strange that it did not happen for the first 2 weeks (with same partner) but happened later. Maybe stress was involved from her part and she was not lubricated enough. I will start using lubricant for sure: I don't want to feel that stinging pain anymore! I thought about using a condom also but I am currently in a third world country and they simply don’t have my size (I looked in many shops already and tried the smaller size without success).
Thanks a lot.

Hi,

Has this happened with the same partner?

Does the pain appear around the tip of the penis or where the penis meets the abdomen?

Have you noticed any ulcers over the vein or any enlargement of the vein?

It is possible that the cause of the bleeding could be traumatic, so it may be a good idea to use lubrication during sexual activity.

You can also wear a condom to see if the pain recurs.
It is possible that the break in the skin of the penis may have resulted in fibrous tissue formation that is causing pain.

If you still experience pain or bleeding after the above protective measures, seek attention from a urologist.

Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.

Thank you very much for your answer. Since the lesions had occurred about 1 month ago and the pain was still there during intercourse I was a little worried. (When lubricated enough there is no pain but I have quite a big penis so there is a lot of friction usually.)

I guess this sensitive area is quite slow to heal completely. I have a topical dermatological cream here called Gelebetacloge (clotrimazole + gentamicin sulfate). Would that help?

Rgds.

Hi,
Sometimes the superficial veins at the site can rupture due to the force of penetration. You should be careful to refrain from further injuring this site till it is completely healed.
You can apply an antiseptic /antibiotic cream at the site, twice daily for about a  week.
You can also apply gels/creams  to facilitate easier entry so that undue force is not applied to the site.Since it happened once it can happen again.
If it does happen again, hold the area pressed down for 5-10 minutes without easing the pressure and the bleeding will stop.
