Painful clear bump on finger

Trying to figure out what this is. Two weeks ago I noticed a painful bump on the soft side of my middle finger. I thought it was a sliver, bite or something. It has not gone away. I can't squeeze anything out of it. The center is clear, perfectly round, hard and the size of a pin head or smaller. It actually looks like there is a very small shallow hole in my finger but it is solid. The skin immediately around it feels thicker. It hurts moderately when pressure is applied. I thought it might be a wart, but it doesn't really look like one. I have a dermatologist appointment in 2+ weeks so I'll ask then. I was just wondering what it could be.

It was a wart and I waited way too long to deal with it and it got huge and too a long time to go away. I treated it aggressively with Salytic acid. It finally went away after I treated it with apple cider vinegar for 4 nights by soaking a small bit of q-tip in and and covered with a band aid.

I have the exact same thing. I have been treating it like a wart but doesn't help. What did they say it was?

I should note that there is just one and it does not itch at all.
