Penile Yeast Infection won't go away? blisters red

GTZ
Couple months ago, i thought i had a penis yeast infection, i had red little blisters and some white stuff on my penis. I told the the doctor that i think i have a penis yeast infection, Doctor took a look said it wasn't that bad he prescribed Clotrimazole and betamethasone i used the tubes, i used it daily twice a day. Problem hasn't gone away i don't have the white stuff on it anymore but it still has small blisters turns dark red when erected, i don't know what to do? I read another post to apply over-the-counter 1% hydrocortisone twice daily, moisturize each time with any lotion. When the penis is not erect it looks normal pinkish, and when its erect you can see blisters and red all over, can you please help   I am 23 years old and uncircumcised.

Hello,
KOH examination is done by a dermatologist and you can consult one and get it done. In this test, skin scrapings are taken and  are placed in liquid containing potassium hydroxidepotassium hydroxide (KOH) and examined under the microscope. KOH destroys all non-fungal cells and if fungal infection is present it can be seen.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
If it is a fungal infection, then steroids have to be used with care and caution because they can worsen the fungal condition. Hydrocortisone is a steroid cream. Now I would suggest you to get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings done after stopping the treatment for 1-2 days. The other method is by getting a biopsy skin done.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
