Penile white marks

Dear Doc!

I`m 23 year old male who is worrying all the time about two white "patches" at the end of my glans penis.  There are 2 of them just either side of the frenulum on the bottom surface of the glans.  They are flat and both approximately 7-8mm in diameter.  They are a dense white/grey colour and have been there now for about 8 or 9 months.  They havent really changed at all despite trying hydrocortison cream for several weeks then canestan cream, antiseptic cream and now I`m trying E45 cream... PLEASE HELP ME.... this problem is really worrying me!

ps I am uncircumsised

I would really appreciate any advice you give me as I`m really too embarassed about this problem to go else where... cheers!

Time to stop worrying, Rich.  You may have a condition which involves the skin pigment, or it may just be a variant of normal.  I sympathize with your reluctance to show this to a doctor, but I think your peace of mind is worth the effort.  Just pose the question matter-of-factly.  We doctors are supposed to do this sort of thing.  Assuredly, you will get the news you need to take this off your agenda.
