Penis Discolour - please help

Hello All

I've masturbated a lot over the past 15 years & have been masturbating heavily over the last 8 months or so (3-4 times a day)

I have noticed a white patch on my skin of my shaft - this has been there for some time now (4-5month) & has become more noticeable.

The patches have appeared on where I rub when I used to masturbate.

The patches appear as white & I do not feel any discomfort.

So I was wondering if anyone would advise the reasons for these patches? Could it be that I have masturbated so much it has lead to some skin damage caused by friction?  If I stop masturbating could the colour restore it self?

I am really worried - please advise.

I am uncircumcised & I am sure its not any STD as I am still a virgin.

Rick

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From your symptoms penile vitiligo needs to be ruled out. The other possibility is of lichen sclerosus. It is a pigmentation disorder in which melanocytes (the cells that make pigment) in the skin are destroyed. As a result, white patches appear on the skin in different parts of the body. Diagnosis can be confirmed by external examination, blood tests to check skin cell count  for melanocytes and biopsy of the skin patches.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
