Penis problems

I had sex in December with female I was dating while going thru divorce. Since, my wife and I are reconciling. I washed my genitals immediately after sex. I washed my genitals with brevoxl face cream maybe a week later. 1-2 days after that, I developed itching and very dry skin, redness etc. I also felt a "clogged" area in my penis urethra maybe a week later and noticed mucous in my urine. I have been to my GP 7 times, two dermatologists and they say I am fine. I have also noticed on underside of penis head a pale discoloration. I have also been to a urologist, who did endoscopy and seen nothing. My GP treated me for gonorrhea and chlamydia in late January, although did not test me for it, which seemed to relieve the urethra problem a bit, but still had some feeling. 1.5 months after treatment I got tested for gon or chlamydia and came negative. Derm said rash on scrotum was dermatitis and gave me desonide ointment which definitely helped the rash. However, I feel a very prickly sensation on my penis and seems to be very sensitive noone seems to know what it is. I also feel a tingly ryhtmic sensation on bottom of penis like there is fluids going thru etc. If I squeeze my penis after urinating, a very small amount of semen like fluid seeps out. I do not have any discharge just coming out, but thru the day, it feels like thee is, but I dont ever see anything. It has literally taken over my every thought. I want to tell my wife, but I am scared of the ramifications. She has no symptoms of anything.

-Could pure anxiety cause all of these issues??
-Could I test negative for STD even If ive slept with wife several times after treatment and never got it back?
-What the heck is the prickly feeling on penis?
- Where do I go next, what do I do when everyone says im fine..I must get rid of this feeling even if it means getting divorced

Yes indeed, not only can pure anxiety cause all these symptoms, but nothing else can.  Brevoxyl is benzoyl peroxide, which would be expected to cause dermatitis in a sensitive region like the genitals.  You need to get hold of your emotions, but it's for you to decide how to go about that--whether to tell your wife, counseling, etc.  But I think you've seen quite enough GPs and dermatologists for now.  I'm not sure your GP did you such a favor by treating you for STD's you may never have had.  I think you should call and ask him how sure he was that you had them  (gonorrhea and chlamydia??), or whether doing that just magnified your already impressive anxiety.

Good luck.

Rambo,

Its amazing how similar your experience was to mine... Two years ago in June i received oral sex from a woman I knew and said she was std free.  Started getting symptoms later that week...   mild burning urination,  skin changes, then a red spot on the under side of my penis.

I went completely over the top anxiety wise... went to the doctor who was sure I had nothing... and finally got treated a week+ later when tests came back positive for gonnahrea.  Btw, ive read that can cause permanent damage within 48hrs of contracting it...  so I would have much rather been treated before test came back like you were.

To make a very long story short...   2 gps, 3 urologists, and 2 dermatologists and nearly two years later im still being treated...  been tested for everything under the sun and have nothing...   now using antibiotic+steroid creme daily and on anti-obsessional meds which seem to be doing the trick... better in the last month than in the previous 18.   Ive read that about 1/3 of dermatology conditions people experience are actually anxiety / stress based.

At different times I was convinced I had every STD under the sun...  the internet makes knowledge available on all these things and a little knowledge is a dangerous thing when your freaking out about your manhood.  I thought for sure I gave whatever it was to my GF but later turned out to be poison ivy, etc. etc.

So... while its REALLY hard to do...  the docs right...  relax... the less you worry about it the less it will effect you...  its kinda like any itch or cut... as long as you keep it in the front of your mind its alot worse...  forget about it... and it and your body does its thing and life goes on.

Relax and Good Luck!
