Dear MD,
I self-administered 50% glycolic acid several months ago. I'd had experience with acids (mostly 30%) and had been very careful; however, last time (2-3 minute application) I ended up with redness which I understand was normal, but although it has generally subsided over time, it still stayed around and I can tell the area on which I used the acid last time.
The overall pinkness bares a contrast with my upper lip area which appears considerably lighter in color. I've looked into pigmentation correction creams, but there seem none that could help my case.
How can I help the porblem?
Many thanks in advance.
