Puffy Reddish Forehead (acne)

Dear Professional,

I recently broke out on forehead tremendously after using an old lotion for about two weeks. I've been working long and hard to clear my face using an oil-free cleanser and occassionally putting egg white on my face and toothpaste on old and new pimples. Some pimples left scares that are clearing up slowly.

As of right now, my forehead looks reddish and puffy, mainly on top of my eyebrows from eye to eye (including the middle of my forehead). What can I do to get rid of the blemishes its causing?! Is this really bad!?

I would REALLY appreciate your feedback. Thank you!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to contact dermatitis. First all stop applying any cosmetics. Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.

If the irritation persists then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
