Pin sized red dot

About a week ago, i developed a pin sized red dot on the shaft of my penis. its located about a 1/4 of an inch away from my pubic hair line. i have been using a q-tip and putting cortazone cream on it for the past 3 days.... when i shower.. i use a "lofa" and scrub gently.... in the shower, the skin seems to appear normal and like nothing is there... yet when i get out of the shower, about 2 minutes later... the little dot re appears..  it seems to be getting better, tho it worries me.. i have been studying skin around the genitals for a while, i feel as tho it might be a clogged or maybe even infected sebaceous gland. im just paranoid thats all... please respond as to what your thoughts or concerns might be. any input/information is greatly appreciated. thank you very much.

Hi,

I do understand you are worried about this.As you have been assessed by your physicians already, then this may not be something that requires further evaluation.
This may be a minor irritation in the area. You have not also mentioned of any symptoms like pain and itchiness.

It is best to just observe this.Avoid applying anything in the area. This does not sound like something you should be very worried about.

Im 22.. its not even like a raised dot it just seems to appear to be there.. the area around it is a little red and slightly irrated most likely from putting the creams on as you said. it does not itch, cause any pain or even burn in the slightest of matter... i think the more i worry about it the more i tend to want to put something on it .. ive recently been to a physician and a dermatologist n they both said they see nothing. so basically now it seems to just be irritation with one little red dot? its just a concern and i have bad anxiety....  i dont know what to do

Hi ,

How old are you?

Refrain from constantly manipulating the area.It is best to stop using or applying any medication on the area as this may aggravate the condition. If this spot does not cause any pain, does not burn or itch and does not present with any form of dicolorations ,then this may not be something to worry about.

I suggest that you have this checked by your primary physician for an initial evaluation just to allay your fears.
