Psoriasis or Dermatitis??????

I would really like to figure out what skin disorder I have.  I think its either Psoriasis or Dermatitis hopefully someone has some sort of idea.  The affected areas are in the T-Zone and scalp.  These areas are very sensitive and red.  When I leave the areas alone, they develop yellowish scales in about 2 days. The scales cover up some redness so should I leave them or wipe them off?   I experience constant flushing and burning only in these areas.  Any topical product or lotion makes my condition worsern and showers seem to do the same.  Sunlight makes my face feel a little better.  Anyone have any tips or ideas or anything?  Any suggestions will be appreciated.  Ill post a picture my next post.

Hi,

Psoriasis is generally a disease of the skin and leads to development of patches of well defined scaly, flaky areas on the skin. Areas involved usually are knees, elbows, shin and extensor portions of the body.

There are many modalities of treatments available including, steroids and other local applications, PUVA and other phototherapies.

'Ointment and creams containing coal tar, dithranol (anthralin), corticosteroids like Topicort Desoximetasone), vitamin D3 analogues (for example, calcipotriol), and retinoids are routinely used.'

There are other measures to be taken and your doctor can tell you more about it.
