Bump under freckle?

I noticed a bump that is painful underneath a seemingly normal freckle, on my arm.  I have freckles and moles sporadically on my body, and I believe most if not all have always been there.  I noticed the bump underneath this freckle a few days ago, and noticed when I touched it, it hurt.  It feels like a bruise.  But, there is definitely a freckle on top that has always been there.  Any help/advice is appreciated.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This can be a cyst. Sebaceous cyst is a closed sac or cyst below the surface of the skin that has a lining that resembles the uppermost part (infundibulum) of a hair follicle and fills with a fatty white, semi-solid material called sebum produced by sebaceous glands of the epidermis. It is usually painless but can become painful if infected. Then antibiotics are needed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thanks for the response!  I think that is exactly what it was.  It started to get more inflamed, and then it started "healing" and now it is gone.  Thank you so much for giving me that information.  It definitely made me feel a little better.
