Psoriatic Lesions

Hello! I have the lesions on both my legs. Its caused from psoriasis. I have tried every RX cream out there and today I had to get Kenalog injections in each lesion. I had them once before and got the injections and they cleared up but none the less they came back. My doctor has recommended that I start tanning. He even gave me a prescription to tan. Is there anything else that can be done to help them from coming back? They itch all the time! Thanks

The kenalog injections that my doctor gave me cleared it right up! But I will ask about that spray! Thanks!

I know you said you tried every RX cream out there...sound like my situation. I had lesions like that on both hips and my wrist. No RX creams worked. My derma prescribed a spray called Clobex...it worked miracles fast! Dont know if you tried that but if not...I suggest you ask your derma about it.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
There are many treatment options for psoriasis, chief ones being cognitive behavior therapy, creams containing coal tar, dithranol (anthralin), corticosteroids like desoximetasone, fluocinonide, vitamin D3 analogues and retinoids and phototherapy and photochemotherapy. Psoriasis that is resistant to topical treatment and phototherapy is treated by medications that are taken internally by pill or injection. The three main traditional systemic treatments are methotrexate, cyclosporine and retinoids.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
