Pubic blemishes

I seem to get the same blemishes over & over in my pubic area.  They occur in the same spot and are painful, red & cyst-like.  They usually take many days or weeks to fester & then go away.  What might cause something like this?

maybe it's just folliculitis or something else.... but please make sure you mention hidradenitis suppurativa when you visit your doctor, he'll ask you the right questions and hopefully rule it out :)

i've got the same thing for a while now, off and on. I was concerned for a while that it was herpes, but it doesn't really match the symptoms of it. They are cysts or boils and they hurt pretty bad and sometimes they itch. They very rarely appear anywhere but on the pubic mound part away from everything else. They are worrisome, and now that I see other people experiencing the same thing, i'm going to go get it check out and come back with some answers.

I have it too...and I have been abstinent for a long time and there is no way it's an STD....

Do yours swell real big and then pop, and sometimes bleed after they pop? They are almost like boils or something and they hurt like hell and keep coming back for a repeat performance. I even tried waxing it all down there and keeping it totally baby butt bare and that didn't even help....

Anyone got suggestions?
