Hi
Yes. If the antifungal cream appeared to have aggravated the condition, then it is best to cease using it. I suggest that you continue to observe the affected area. You have not mentioned of any changes on the spot and this appears to be a good sign. I do not think this is something serious. Applying lotions and creams on the area may only further irritate the skin. The skin should revert to normal. If there appears to be any progression of the skin condition, then it is best to have this followed up by your dermatologist.
Dear Dr. Lacuesta:
Day 54 - July 17. I have continued good hygiene by showing at least once a day, sometimes twice a day.
About two weeks ago, thinking about the spot might be some type of fungal infection, I've used Clotrimazoles 1% twice daily (morning and night) for about 13 days. However, the condition did not improve. It made the area surrounding the spot a little dry, a little red and a little "rough." I stopped using Clotrimazales two days ago. The spot is inline with the pearly papules. It is as if one of them expanded and flattened.
Since I don't have no symptoms other the spot, I am not sure what else I could do. I will continue to observe the area and report back. I got a feeling that this could take a while.

Hi Jerry
You are welcome.
For skin conditions involving the genitalia , a burning sensation, pain, discharge, redness and enlarged lymph nodes are to watch out for. Rash , joint pains and fever may indicate an overt infectious process. I know you are worried about this. Continue good genital hygiene ad refrain from manipulating or picking on the area. This spot may resolve on its own.
Keep us posted for anything.
Dear Dr. Lacuesta,
Thanks for your comments. I will continue to monitor the spot and report back in a couple of weeks.

Hi
I can not access the image.
The spot occurred immediately after the sexual encounter and it is on the glans of the penis. In the absence of a burning sensation, pain, discharge or itchiness, this sounds like a minor skin irritation. I would think this is an abrasion of the skin of the glans. The glans penis unlike that of the other parts of the body has thinner skin and this makes it far more sensitive and fragile.
Avoid applying any creams and lotions in the area. Just continue to observe the skin. You have noted that the spot has slowly disappeared. Wash the area with a mild and bland cleanser like Cetaphil. Note for any pain or discharge. At this point, I do not think you should be very worried.
