Rash around lips
Im curious to find out what this rash is around my lips. I went out on the water on sunday and Monday it started. I started using Benadryl which has worked but im curious to find out what it is. Its red with little bumbs and the lines around my mouth are red. Does anyone have any idea on what this could be? I have an appointment scheduled with my dermatologist, but I would like a little insight about what it is. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it.
Hello, I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed me Prednisone for 5 Days. Do you know if this will help and How long it will take for the results to show up?

From the symptoms it sounds like contact dermatitis or an allergic reaction.Apply calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream on the rash and take some antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin.If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.It can be perioral dermatitis.
