I break out ANYtime I consume corn chips or products with corn listed in the top 5 ingredients, thereabouts. Is there anything someone can take to prevent the allergic reaction? Corn is in almost everything we buy....even CHEERIOS- touted as an oat product-contains enough corn to cause cystic acne breakouts on my face. I have given up most of my favorite foods because there is so much corn content in them, but I can't avoid all corn-containing foods unless I pack my own home-prepared meals and live in a bubble. Any ideas at all on addidng supplementation that can reduce the corn to a fairly harmless product in my body?
I have just found the BEST product EVER for acne and have to tell the world about it!!! I am a 37 year old woman who has NEVER had acne in my life. All of a sudden, I went off of my birth control pill and I have experienced TERRBILE blemishes all over my face. My dermatologist suggested an over the counter products by md skincare called All-Over Blemish Solution. It literally has cleared up my skin in less than 5 days! It is not drying but also doesnt leave my skin feeling greasy. It is like a miracle product. I will never be without it again. www.mdskincare.com.
Go to a dermatologist. It can be hormonal, most definitely. Birth control pills may be added or adjusted, and perhaps something like Differin gel. (which is wonderful,I too have adult acne and havent had a break out in a year since using it!!)

There was a study many years ago on what causes cycstic and non-cycstic acne. It was found that, in many cases, a mild allergy to corn products was the source. When all corn products, corn on the cob, corn syrup, corn oil, corn meal, etc. (there are many many of them) was removed from the diet, both types of acne cleared up. Hormone related acne occurs during puberty and pregnancy when female hormones are imbalanced. If you believe your hormones are out of balance, have the doc run hormone level blood tests to see if that could be your problem. hope this helps
