Rash on penis shaft

About a month ago I used lotion to masturbate with and I noticed this rash in the morning after I fell asleep (without washing my penis, but it was just normal hand lotion).  Then two weeks ago I used AstroGlide instead and I got the same rash.  No history of this happening with before these separate incidents.

The third incident was recently,  I engaged in vaginal intercourse with my girlfriend for the first time a while (long distance).  I went to sleep without washing my penis.  I woke up with same irritation (no history before as well).

This rash is really itching and covers most of my shaft.  I applied diphenhydramine 2% cream and it burned extremely bad.  I have attached some pictures of my penis at the moment.

I don't think that you should apply diphenhydramine 2% cream to your penis.  It is not meant to apply on the genitals.

You clearly have an allergic reaction to the products that you have used.  Again hand cream should not be put on to your penis either.

I suggest you make an appointment to see your doctor to get a skin swab taken and have it sent to the laboratory to see if there is any fungal problem, they will check for bacteria too.

Personally I think you have had an allergic reaction to what you put on.  It hadn't properly healed by the sound of things before you engaged in intercourse and with the friction, it has flared up again.

If you do use condoms - don't use the latex ones.  You can purchase latex free condoms these days.  As you are sensitive, it is highly likely that you will also be sensitive to latex.

Don't use any soap, bath or shower gels.  Only use non perfumed soap, soap that has the same pH level as our skin and baby washes should be fine too.

As you have had an allergic reaction, an antihistamine may help.
As a home help remedy before you get to see your doctor, wash your penis with water and gently dry it.  Apply natural set yogurt to it.  It will fee cold, but will cool down the inflammation and the itching.

Don't perform or touch until you are well healed.  Wear cotton underpants.
Use non biological washing detergents and fabric softeners that are for sensitive skin (if you use softeners).

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Neosporin is an antibiotic cream.
You do not know whether you have a bacterial infection.

Your problem came on after using certain products which indicates an allergic reaction.

Ask your pharmacist to assist you.

Sensitivity to neomycin is on the raise and be wary of even this.Paraffin(vaseline) should do.
