Red Small Pimple Like Rash on Penis Rim
Dear friends,
I have noticed a red shiny spot on my penis rim yesterday. This thing look like a bump and on top of the bump is the siney rash. It pains when I touch it. I never had unprotected sex. I exposed my penis to oil while masterbating. I am really worried.
My penis colour appears normal. It does not pain when I pee nor I notice any bleeding in my ejeculation or while I pee.

Thank you for the answer. I went to a urologist and he suggested that it is a yeast infection. During these ten days it has become soft red rash and has spreaded a bit and does not pain. I am still worried as it has not gone even after nearly two weeks. Despite of some medication that doctor has given me. I am going to see him again today.

This red rash can be due to the beginning of a boil or an infected hair follicle also. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. Also cold sores are often preceded by tingling and numbness and then a cluster of blisters appear. So it is less likely to be due to cold sores or fever blisters.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
