Rashes only in evening/night

Hi All,
I don't understand what is happening with my skin...
I am getting red small dots(itchy) on my arms, legs and on stomach only in the evenings.. Went to a general physician, he gave me some Anti-Histamines, and a lotion to apply.. after applying that, it goes away after about 1 hour..
Next morning, am totally rash free.. but again in the evening, these red dots come back again and some huge reddishness in skin on the hands..

This has been going on for the past 1 week.. Will see a dermatologist tmrw.. But, u guys have any pointers to wat it could be due to..

I had a dangerous sexual exposure 6.5 months back.. and had done multiple HIV tests at 2 weeks intervals till 24 weeks(10 tests in total).. All had come back negative. People in the HIV COmmunity are confident with 13 weeks negative test and also my doctor here in India said the same. So, ruling out HIV. Any other STDs which might cause this skin problems??

Hi I've been having wat my doctor says is urticaria for over 2 week's now but I've been looking on internet at parasites that  can cause this skin flare up too. I'm going to see my GP tomoz maybe get a test done see if it is that that's causing me this rash and itching .. I've had different antihistamines and also steroids but it's still with me I can't stress how much this has affected my life already I can't even go bk to work till it's cleared up but it seems it's not going any where at the moment ... hopefully I get answers and a test for parasites and I can carry on with an itch rash free life

My father-in-law, aged 70 suffered a similar rash. Started off like little red bumps, subsequently looked like he'd been scalded with boiling water, follwoing that emerged red welts and after that egg sized blisters of fluid,(bulous pemphigoid). His doctor failed to diagnose the problem til it's tertiary phase. Turns out that the heart medication my father-in-law was taking was causing an allergic reaction resulting in this rash. Very many medications can cause an allergic reaction resulting in a rash, but the good news is that, in many cases, there is an alternative medication that can be switched to. Because the reaction to the meds is an allergic one, this is why taking an anti-histamine can help. This however is masking the problem by dealing with the symptom and not with the cause. A better plan might to to see your doctor and to request a change of meds.

I have terrible itching, seemly dry calves. I soak them with lotion and Aquaphor. Neither help. I am 63, but have had this for years. It seems to be a bit worse in the winter, but also worse with age. It itches and is painful. I scratch until I have welts and bleedig. It keeps me from sleeping or enjoying anything, it it unbareable!!! It is confined only to my calves. This has gotten to be constant to the point of not being able to enjoy doing anything!
What can I use to make thus go away. They seem dry, by I soak them in lotions that "relieves dry skin, all day moisturizer, dermatologist tested, Frank free, with colloidal oatmeal.I also put a lot of Aquaphor, I thoroughly rub bth of these in, two, three and four times a day. I have tried every lotion that says for extremely dry skin, bUt I don't know if that is the problem. It isn't red, until I continuously scratch them so hard. I do have dry skin, but not to the point that moisturizer or lotion does not help. My calves do not flak off dry skin, just horrible itching that nothing I have tried helps a bit. HELP...what is this???W hat will help???

Did you get any answers? I'm having the exact same thing. I wake every morning rash free. As the day goes on I begin to feel it returning. It's only on my forearms and abdomen, just under my ribs. I've treated it with cortisone cream and antifungal cream, to no avail.

Allergies should be investigated. Could be dust mites which could require a change of duvet and pillows and even mattress. This enormously helped with my own child who, as well as  the rash, was also experiencing breathing difficulties. I too have experienced this and for me it seems to be linked with Candida Albicans (Thrush). I have noticed that I am likely to experience the night time rash at a time when I may be suffering from an episode of thrush. The rash and/or thrush will come on when I have been drinking or eating too many sugary drinks/foods or even just one glass of wine. It seems to be that an overload of sugar causes my body to react badly. This can be counteracted by adding a desert spoon of Apple Cider Vinegar into a cup of water and taking that, as a drink, three times a day. If this is done every day the symptoms can disappear within two weeks or so. It is also very important to avoid sugary drinks and foods and alcohol.

I had been to the best dermatologist in my city last week(1 night after a huge blowout of rashes all over my body).. He couldn't confirm anything..

Gave me some heavy Anti Histamines and asked me to take for 10 days. The same evening, when the rashes were just about coming back again, took the dosage.. Went away in 15 mins.. Since then, it has NEVER come back.. Have completed 10 days of dosage and am not getting the rashes any more.

Should I have any more concerns?
PS: When I went to see him, I took the HIV(AG+AB) ELISA Test, Anti-HCV Test, HbsAg Test and VDRL Test. All came back negative. Wanted to rule out these serious STDs.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
In addition to the above mentioned possibilities, get scabies also ruled out. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
