I saw the question that Kim posted and have had the same exact condition. I have had many cortison injections about 4 years ago on my shoulders shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain and my jaw line, during the time when I had acne. After using many treatments my dermatologist decided to put me on Acutane. After almost 2 years of accutane I am happy to say that I haven't had any breakouts and honestly haven't woken up with a pimple or anything on me in some time. However, I am still left with these elevated "eraser"-sized scars on my jawline and shoulders shoulders intensive treatment Shoulder arthroscopy Shoulder pain. Sometimes they are more elevated and more red than on other days. But I am convinced that it was the cortisone shots that have left me with these noticable scars. When I told my dermatologist about them, he injected me with a higher dose of cortisone in the particular spotsBirthmarks - pigmented Liver spots Measles, koplik spots - close-up Mongolian blue spots, explaining that it was necessary to help the inflamed scar tissue or something. They were not so elevated for a while after that, but months later they have come back. I have been told that sometimes surgery can leave you with discoloration and whatnot, leaving the situation worse than it already was. Am I doomed with these wierd scars forever?
