My name is Erin, and my husband Randall is having some issues on his inner thighs, where they rub when
he walks. There are some cherry sized red lumps developing in the area. I at first thought the skin was simply raw, or maybe it was an ingrown hair, but there's no hair in the center of the lump, and they are firm, and the skin
dried up on one of them. He peeled it off, and there was no puss comming out, but there was blood. And last
night, he told me that the pain shoots down his leg when he stands on one foot. I don't think they are occuring
high enough up on the leg to have anything to do with the lymphnodes. The lumps come and go, none of them has
stayed for more than a few days, but more pop up as soon as one heals. I'm not sure what to do about this.
I'm hoping that the shooting pain is just due to the lump growing too close to a nerve. Do you think we should
be concerned? Does this sound like something that we should see a doctor about? Or do you think that some Gold Bond Medicated Body powder will suffice? Or maybe he should switch to boxer-briefs so his thighs don't touch? I'm really worried about this.
Randall is 29 years old, 5'5" tall, and between 175-190lbs.
He's not really fat. he's just really muscular. His thighs are huge.
The problem has been occuring for about a month.
I thought putting a bandaid with neosporin on it would help, but the bandaid pulled on the hair too much, so he made me take it off.
His diet is mostly protein and carbs, but about two weeks ago, I got him to start taking a "Miricle Fruits of the World" antioxidant diatary suppliment. It's not helping,(with this anyway.)
The lumps are a fleshy red, not a cherry red.
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Erin
