The most common rash suddenly appearing on your child is rash due to a variety of viruses. These generic viral rashes can have many different appearances, such as lacy or pimply, raised or flat, bumps, spots, or blotches.
The most important thing to understand here is that if your child has a fever or is not feeling well, and breaks out in one of these generic rashes, then it is probably a harmless virus and nothing to worry about.
You can give him Benadryl liquid to ease the rash and itching if it is present.
If fever does not subside in 3-4 days or if it spikes or child develops any other symptoms then please do see a paediatrician immediately.
