Hello,
It is true that type 2 is predominant in genitals and type 1 in mouth, but both virus can be present in both places. It is more common for oral HSV-1 to be transmitted to the genitals through oral sex, than it is for HSV-2 to be transmitted to the mouth.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
The symptoms subsided after a week. I did not get a chance to test for STD's yet. It is my understanding the Clymidia and Gohnera need at least a week. So I will give it another to be sure.
My urine came back negative for any bacterial issues. I do not believe it is a new STD. I am more concerned about my HSV1 infection. The more I read the more I find HSV1 can be passed to the gentitals and it is becoming more and more common.
Thoughts?
Thanks
Hello,
It can be due to balanoposthitis or urethritis also. Your HSV 1 is positive and HSV 1 has a predilection for oral symptoms or sores around the mouth. You should get a urine examination and culture and a swab sample of the urethra and the surrounding skin done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing
On my first post it should have been HSV1>5.0.. HSV2 was definatly negative. Tested twice for piece of mind...
Thanks
I did masterbate on Saturday and I spent 25 miles on a Mountain Bike on Friday. I guess what I am getting at is there was alot of "trama" to the area in a few days. The issues started on Sunday.
