A related discussion,
redness around and under penis head was started.
The head of my penis has become really itchy and a bit rushed and red. Today it had produced some white substance around the folding place of the head of the penis. It's been about 1-2 weeks since i had a sexual activity and then this happened. Any advices on what it is? My penis doesn't have any pimples, but in the begining when it got hard some red dots appeared on the head of the penis. Please help and thanks in advance.
You are right, I did finally go to a urologist and then was sent to a demetologist last weekend, I had woken up Saturday to have my penis swollen and not from an erection either! I got into a dematolgist after getting recommmendations from the Urologist to use some lotrimin for a couple weeks and if that didn't work see a dematologist, well after the first two night of no help and then waking up to more problems (swollen) I got in to see the doctor and was told it looks like just irritation from something I had touched or some chemicals in a detergant. I was given a cream HC-2.5 Ointment and 1 week or prednesone just to help kick start the recovery. 4 days later I have improved dramatically and will have my fun in Vegas this weekend( with my wife) and hope this is behind us. You might want to use baby formula cloths detergant and wash your hand before touching your best friend! Do not use chemicals like anti fungal or jock itch unless doctor approves! Does more harm tyhan good! Lesson learned. Good luck to all and hope everything works out for you.
did you ever find out what this was....I have been having the same thing on and off for 3 years ..started after oralsx as burning inside the vag, sore throat and and itchy pubic hair..ocassially i get a white pimple in the pubic hair and or see nothing at all where it itches or feels like "pulling" hair....was told it was a yeast infection and folliculitis but I don't shave the area??
., but this year seems it didn't clear up in a week like usualy...but seemed to be continuous and more painful for over 8 months now, buring, itching, discharge, seems to have spread down there, eyes, feet, face (tiny clear bubles and white pustules they say are pimples), etc. I've been tested for everything bacterial and viral like 5 times by 5 different doctors and specialists....gyno, family GP, dermolotolist, etc...it seems to be spreading but they are telling me it is in my head. I know something is wrong, every bump i get viral swab is negative and altough the herpes imunoblot (most accurate) and the best thing to western blot came back negative for both hsv1 an 2. i am at a loss as my family members seem to be getting the brown spots and large red swollen patches like "hives" taht are itchy but seem to go away the next day...but recurring almost daily???? all coincidently since i moved home...any help woould be appreciated..
hey i had sex about 3 months ago and a week after the event i got a sort of rash which was sort of itchy , but it only lasted for a few days maybe 2. i didnt wear a condom. recently i discovered that the head of my penis is red with one distinct red dot. the head of my penis looks kind of irritated, but its not itchy. My balls and scrotom and pubic hair has become itchy though. i dont know wat i have if its an std or not but im really worried, please help????????
i seem to be suffering from the same symptoms. I always seem to be dried out, occasionally flaky skin at the base of the head of my penis, then after sex, irritaions, like being rubbed raw. I do occasionally get some eczema(eyelids and around nose), and i have seen a dermatologuist for that, they perscribed a medicated lotion. Should i use the same lotion? or something else? any advice is appreciated.
This does not sound like an STD at all, but it also doesn't sound like jock itch. It sounds like irritation, aggravated by friction, such as from sex. I advise you to use nothing but non-medicated moisture lotion. Avoid anything strong (like Lotrisone) and minimize friction. If symptoms persist, please see a dermatologist in person. Don't rely on off-the-cuff suggestions from people in doctors' offices.
Take care.
