Red blotchy itchy rash on backs of hands

My right hand started to get these red itchy small pimples on the back of my hand.  It soon turned into a full blown blotchy rash that itches like crazy and is all over the back of my right hand and is now on the back of my wrist as well.  It's been there for about a week and now I notice that my left hand is starting with the little pimples on the back of that hand as well.  I've not been using anything new to create this rash. I've been washing with plain soap and water, pouring alcohol on it and using a lotion with mint to help with the itch.  The rash on the right hand is now kind of dry and scaly probably from the alcohol.  It looks simply terrible and I don't have the money to go to a Dr. let alone fill any prescriptions they might give me.  If I can find out exactly what it is, I would rather try the homeopathic natural cures first.  I'm a 48 year old female.  If you need pictures, I can do that.  Thank you so much!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to contact dermatitis, allergic reaction or scabies. Check the allergens which you may have come in contact with and take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. Also consult a dermatologist as you may need topical as well as oral steroids and get scabies ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I had something similar in the past because of the dishwashing liquid. They are usually strong and cause dermatitis.

Creams that contain hydrocortisone are very helpful for these cases. Ask your local pharmacist for the strongest one that doesn't require medical prescription.

I hope this helps.
