So, I didn't really find anything to answer my question. Decided to create my own.
I've had these little red dots. Not really raised from the skin, barely. They cover the top half of both my arms. I have noticed them in the right light on my legs. They don't itch and I've been to the doctors for a physical I assume they would've said something if it looked life threatening. I've had them for as long as I can remember. They are really a pain for when I wear short sleeves. I feel like it's a genetic thing because my brother has them too. I just want to know what are they, and how can I get rid of them/diminish their appearance.

This can be due to a viral infection or bacterial infection causing folliculitis, skin rash and pus formation. Apply warm compresses,Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen
persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

body produces excess keratin, a natural protein in the skin. There is currently no known cure for keratosis pilaris, however, there are effective treatments available which make its symptoms less apparent.
Treatment includes tretinoin or Triamcinolone cream or Adapalene, a retinoid medication. Exfoliation, intensive moisturizing creams, creams and lotions containing alpha
hydroxy acids and urea may be used to temporarily improve the appearance and texture of affected skin.
