Red scortum/ inner thigh fold

About 4 weeks ago I shaved my pubic area and after a day or two became very itchy and irritated on one thigh fold. I applied cortisone cream to deal with the itch, that however seemed to make the problem as it got redder and spread to both thighs and scrotum. I self diagnosed jock itch and used a number of different creams and sprays. The creams seemed to make the condition worse, I figured the addition of moisture to the area, while the spray (which is a spray powder) seemed to really help. It seemingly went away for a while and i did not shave my pubic area during the three week span.  Roughly 4-5 days ago i shaved my pubic area again and sure enough it was back. They seem to be in grown hairs....and if not for the amount I have, would not think twice about it. I am a bigger person so where these bumps are is also where my thigh, scrotum, and pubic area all meet and overlap. The area is very sensitive on my "bikini line" and itches somewhat uncomfortably. I have been applying medicated baby powder which works until the powder needs to be reapplied, I am also still using the jock itch spray to deal with the itch better.

The only pictures I have been able to find are listed below. However, the skin irritation I have is very much so more plentiful then in these pictures.  It's been about a year since I have been std tested but in that time I have had one steady partner who gets tested twice a year.

Any tips to cure it faster? Or just wait it out don't shave the area and lose weight?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
They look like irritated hair follicles causing folliculitis. You should wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. If the symptoms persist then get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

P.S. Forgot to mention they start of with a small raised area with and without a small whitehead, then turn into the raised area with the dry skin circling it
