Red spots?

Recently I've developed red, small, itchy spots on my palms only and about one or two on each finger around the cuticle. They are under the skin, and do not bulge, blister, scale, peel, or burn at all. They aren't very noticeable unless looked at closely, and they do not itch much except occasionally and when they do itch, they itch very, very badly. There are many of the spots, about 40 or more (it's a bit hard to count, they are kind of hard to see, but still slightly noticeable)
I don't think they have anything to do with bug bites since I have not been in contact with any wildlife or plants or anything else that ticks or mites might live on.
I recently started playing guitar again and noticed that they developed once I started playing again. I think it may be caused by playing guitar because my hands have to hold chord positions and my pick which can cause my hands to sweat.
I don't think it's serious, but I would like to get rid of them seeing as they can be uncomfortable and slightly itchy.
Are there any home remedies or should I see a dermatologist?

The spots don't appear only after I start playing, they've appeared and been on my hands for a few weeks now, regardless of whether or not I am playing at the current time. I just noticed that they've shown up since around the time I began playing again. Also, I forgot to specify that they are not on my fingers at all, just on my palms and near the cuticles. The bumps are also on my picking hand, which does not come in contact with the strings or the guitar, but there are not as many bumps on that hand as the other that does touch the neck of the guitar. Thank you for recommending the cream, I will look into it, however wearing gloves while playing is out of the question as I need to maintain the dexterity in my hand needed to play.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

This may be a case of contact dermatitis. You have noted that the bumps are reddish, itchy and appear only after playing with the guitar. There may be an allergic component here or it is also possible that the bumps may be due to the pressure brought about by pressing the guitar strings. Apply 0.05% Fluocinonide cream on the area and see if the red spots and itchiness subsides. Be careful that the medications do not come into contact with the eyes. Use gloves or other means of protection when playing the guitar so that there will be no direct contact of the guitar strings with the  skin.
