I wasn't more specific for 2 reasons:
First, most of your questions can't be answered with precision (herpes can have a bliter first, pus later, etc,)
Second, nothing I could say on line would make it unneccessary for you to see a doctor. One can't make a definitive diagnosis without seeing what's going on, certainly not in your case.

I was hoping you could have answered the more specific questions as in symptoms etc. rather than basically referral to a dermatoligist. I tried to be as specific as I could and I noticed with a lot of other questions posted in this forum you were much more specific. I forgot to mention that I was female and when I stated "partner" I was referring to my husband.
Rather than worry about these bumps, you should leave them alone and show them to a doctor. The doctor can porbably tell at a glance whether these are blocked follicles or the blisters of herpes. (I'd bet on the former.) A culture for bacteria or viruses may also help.
Even if it is herpes (and I doubt it), all that would mean is that you get "cold sores" from time to time under your nose instead of at the border of your lip. No big deal, millions have it, and treatment is available.
So check it out and get a specific diagnosis, so you can move on.
Take care.
