Seeking possible answer to skin problem!!!!!!!

I was not sure which topic this question falls under as I don't even have a general idea as to what it is I am dealing with. To start with, I am a healthy drug and disease free 30 year old female. About a year ago I started experiencing severe itching on my feet and in between my toes. It turned into the skin peeling between my toes. ( I did try treating this as if it were athletes foot with no results.) As of today, I am still suffering with the severe itching, and peeling skin on my feet and toes, though now it has changed some and also is affecting my hands. I have noticed a very distinct pattern now. The spot that starts itching begins with a skin colored tiny bump. The bump then turns into a clear- fluid filled blister that will itch unbelievable until it pops, then becomes sore, the area peels and slowly will go away. It always happens in this order. Now, I have noticed this happening on my fingers of both hands. I do not know what it is or what to do about it. I have spent hours on end researching my symptoms only to find no answers. Again, I have no known health issues or any other symptoms. Please help!!!

Hello,
It sounds like dyshidrotic eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Also use good quality hypoallergenic moisturizers. If the symptoms persist then pls get fungal infections ruled out from a dermatologist.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.

Then go for zinc oxide paste.Rule out hook worms by a stool examination.Always missed and an important cause of interdigital itching.
