Should I be concerned about a persistent rash?

Ok, so I have a rash that began on the top of my shoulders at the base of my neck. It is slightly pink in color and doesn't itch, though it does feel softer than my non affected skin yet appears to be flaky (dry skin-ish) when messed with. This annoyance has been hanging about for over 5 months now. Not only that but it has slowly spread to my upper chest, most of my frontal shoulders, and a now a few random blotches appeared on both my sides (ribcage). And two in the crease in my right arm at the elbow joint. I have googled my butt off and haven't found anything that really matches what I have. Nor have I seen a dermatologist, mostly because I'm stubborn and kept hoping it'd just go away on it's own. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

I'd agree with Speakingofbelle- this isn't going to go away, or it would have already, so it's time to go to the doctor to get it checked out.  Feel better soon!
