Tea tree oil is fairly potent. I would use a soap that is made of olive oil and tea tree oil. Also use a good moisturizer after shower. The itching should dissipate after you rebuild the skin. You might also try a tar soap. Some people can use anti histamines to control itching.
Supposedly diet can control outbreaks better then anything. Most eczema is caused by the result of allergens or a leaky gut. Digestive disorders like croans or yeast buildup in your body.
Dermatologist do not support this, They would have you apply poison on your skin. Yet they have no interest in curing it.
thanks, that is what i was beginning to believe it is just hard to think you have an skin problem with no cure. It sounds like you know a little about bit about this. What is the best way to deal with it and prevent the outbreaks. Also how do you stop the itching? Is tea tree oil good to put on skin daily, it seems to work the best. I dont understand why a dermatologists wont just suggest eczema either.
It's eczema not an infection. There is no cure. steroids just tune down the response of your immune system. I wouldn't use steroids if I were you. The doctors prescribe them, but the people that deal with eczema on a daily basis don't use them. They make it much worse in the long run. Eczema will pop up occasionally, it is becoming more of a problem. Just look at this board. Thousands of adults that never had any skin problems are now afflicted with this horrible disease.
Yet the dermatologist claim that less then 10% of adults are affected.
Adult onset eczema is supposed to be minor in comparison to that of the childhood version.
Anyone being tortured with this plague would definitely disagree with the dermatologists assessment.
I have also used many different corticosteroids which help with the inflammation but do not cure it. I make sure to use disposable razors and have been treated for folliculitus but it still has not completely healed. What type of infection could cause damage to the skin like this one is?
