please help.could this be a fungal infection?

Hi, about 7 weeks ago I received unprotected oral sex.the next day i caught poison ivy.the poison ivy lasted about four weeks. Two days after i received the oral sex, i started having pain in my left testicle, and it turned into a burning itch on both my penis and my testicles.i noticed a lot of small white bumps on my penis, but when i went to the clinic, the dr told me the bumps were normal but couldn't explain what was causing the pain.I thought it was herpes but he said they didn't look like herpes and I got an IGG blood test at 6 weeks and it came back negative.I'm going again in a month to get tested again.I was thinking maybe it's a fungal infection, now my arms, eyes, face, inner thigh, neck, scalp, and inside my ears and nose itch really bad.I started using the jock itch cream yesterday, can i use it on my face? and does this sound like a fungal infection? I don't have the money to see a dermatologist right now and i don't have insurance, could anyone please help me out? I'm stressing so bad and i'm worried about spreading this infection to my family,Thank you very much

Hello,
Liver diseases like hepatitis B and C can be transmitted by sexual exposure and oral sex. So it is good that the doctor has checked your liver profile. Regarding the herpes testing, you can get the antibodies repeated at 4 months or 6 months after exposure. You can also get skin biopsy, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to test for presence of viral DNA.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

ok i went to the dermatologist today and he said he could see a couple of the spots where the rash was:on my scalp, in my ears, and on my eye brows. he told me it wasn't a fungal infection, but that it could be caused by somthing internal.they took a blood test for hepatitis c and a thyroid conditionn, so im awaiting the results.he didnt see a rash on my genitals although they have been itching over two months.i want to get another iig test at the end of august, that would be 90 days from the exposure.do you think it would be long enough or should i wait the full 4 months? Also hepatits transmitted through oral sex? im really worried since he told me that.Thank you for help

Hello,
Since it has been quite some days when you have had the symptoms, so the possibility of a fungal skin infection cannot be denied. In that case, before starting any topical antifungal I would suggest you to get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
