Skin problems

I am a housewife.  I have developped a skin problem in my finger tips wherein the skin gets dry and cracks.  I have visited many dermatologists.  When I use Diclofenac (skin ointment) the skin gets well after few days.  But once I put my hand in detergent water, it gets ... [More] affected again.  I have been using the medicine since three years and it seems to me that there is no permanent solution. What else should I do to get a complete cure?

Hello,
Since you have been having these symptoms for such a long time, so the possibility of eczema due to contact with water and harsh soaps is there. Apply emollients liberally and some mild steroid cream on the hands.
During the day, hydrate and protect hands with a protective and moisturizing cream. At night, repair them with creams formulated from glycolic acid—a must for improving skin texture and tone. For a more intensive nighttime treatment, apply cream and then cover hands with gloves or socks. Your body heat helps the cream sink deeper into the skin. I would also suggest you to avoid washing hands with soap repeatedly and use gloves while doing any household work.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Warm regards.
