Skin tag, wart or mole?

I have three little growth things on my lower abdomen, the highest one is about 3 inches above the base of my penis, the lowest about an inch above the base. I went to a dermatologist today and he didn't really give me a definitive diagnosis...he just kinda said these look suspicious, that they might be genital warts...went and got liquid nitrogen, froze them off, and then prescribed me Aldara.

The whole thing was so ambiguous I dont know what to think. It seems like if I actually had genital warts he wouldnt have been so nonchalant about it, but I dont know why he would prescribe me Aldara if I didnt have it. I am in a monogamous relationship, and have been having unprotected sex with her (shes on the pill), since September. She tested negative for HPV in early February.

I dont even know what to think, what is your take on the situation? Does all this mean I have genital warts? If so, am I risk for transmitting it now, despite her not having it in February, 5 months after we started having sex?

Check the internet for information about HPV.  You can have HPV for up to 10 years and not develop any symptoms so it's possible you or your girlfriend was infected by a previous partner and didn't know it. HPV is a virus so it doesn't behave like a normal STD, like clamydia or ghonorrhea.  There are many different strains and only a few actually cause warts to develop.  You can also get many strains even while using a condom, as the virus exists over the entire genital area.  If you don't find out what you want to know from reputable internet sites, talk to your doctor.  If you are intimidated a little to talk to him, try writing down your questions down  before hand.  Let him/her know that you are really concened and would like more information.  You can also check with Planned Parenthood, they are a really good source for this type of information.  Be sure to tell your girlfriend she should always have yearly pap smears and there is also a blood test for HPV.  Don't worry, just be informed!  Good Luck

I recently went to a dermatologist because of small wart-looking growths on the base of my penis where it meets the pubic hair. I have a few like (6) but one i had for at least two years that grew to be the biggest one. In the past few months i noticed more little one growing the same as the biggest one once did. When i went to the dermatologist he right away said "they are warts". I am very confused and upset about this because i have always been very careful and have not been with anyone that i haven't known. Not that that matters but what makes me more confused is that, i have had that one big growth for about two years and did nothing about it. I didnt think anything of it and just let it be. As time went on, in the past id say about six months another one grew near it and then two more on the opposite side of the base of the penis, near the pubic hair line. In addition to this, i have had a strong relationship with my girlfriend for the past year and have been having unprotected sex. obviously because i did not think anything of this growth i went on with unprotected (on the pill), monogamous relationship. Her last PAP exam was in august of 06, which came up clear. She has no warts of anyting kind on her outter vagina, which would make sense being of the area of my growths. In order to not make my question too confusing, what i am asking is this: Because i had this one growth for a long time, then another to follow and then another to follow, one by one after another, not in clusters, does this mean that the chances are they are genital warts? Also, if her PAP exam came up clear in August, what would another clear PAP exam for my girlfriend say about my condition? Also, can this be anything else? I mean i read about all these different things that can grow down in the genital area that are not dangerous. What else is there a good possibility it is in a 22 year old, generally healthy male? Thanks for your help.
