Small Whiteheads on tip/opening of penis, please advise.

Hello Doctor. I have seen similar questions like this but I must get mine in to be sure. About a year (or so) ago I noticed a small whitehead like bump (very small) on the tip/opening of my penis. It looked much like a normal small whiteheads i'd get on my face. If I had to pin point where it was I'd say just on the outside edge of the opening of the penis, not inside. It freaked me out. I popped it and a little puss came out. No pain. There is and was not pain. No painful urination and no getting sick (to this day I have not been sick, not even a cold). That bump since went away until about 4/5 months later another one showed up. Again, no pain associated with it. I popped that one too. It went away. Well I just noticed another one last week. Once I pop them they seem to go away rather quickly...almost within minutes.

I have had PROTECTED oral sex on several occasions within the year. At first I thought it might have been an allergic reaction to the condoms or the fact that I masturbate everyday sometimes for an hour and a half (mainly what I do is masturbate while surfing internet porn). I then thought it could be the constant masturbation (i.e. rubbing vigorously for hours, almost daily). It never occurred to me that it could be sexual since I always used a condom.

Well, I check the tip of my penis at least 50 times a day (but seriously every chance I get) and think I see one but I don't, my mind is playing tricks on me...I fear when I will see one again.

Doctor, how worried should I be? I have no other visible symptoms and I have felt healthy within the year I first saw it (with the exception of a mild case of food poisoning).

One other thing to note (wishful thinking), I am experiencing a high amount of stress at my job and in life general.

Thanks Doctor. I greatly appreciate your advice, I am seeing my own doctor in about one month (he is very busy and I am in no rush to get bad news).

You won't get bad news.  Small whiteheads are cysts, not STD's.  Please don't pop them, and stop looking so much, as this will produce a ton of stress even if you weren't stressed to start with.

See your doctor as soon as you can, and then put this worry behind you.

Take care.

Thank you doctor! Thank you so much. I have never been so stressed/worried before.

Just out of curiosity will my doctor know istantly what this is (agree with you) and have a solution on hand or a prescription. Is this common?

Thanks Again, you are very helpful.

I think the doctor is likely to be able to tell at a glance.  Take care.
