Small lump

Small lump

I have a tiny lump beneath my left earlobe and behind the jaw, in the little soft spot.  Now, I read a question almost exactly like mine, however the asker's query was slightly different.

Unlike their query, my lump did not appear suddenly.  I have had it for a few years now.  It hasn't increased in size, it's always just been there for the past few years.  You can't see it, only feel it if you press your finger into the skin.  From what I've read it may just be an enlarged lymph node; what makes me slightly concerned is that is never disappears.  I only ask because I have a fear of cancer (despite being young) and would like to know if I should be concerned.

Thank you so much.
