Small rash on back of lower leg?

I was wondering if anyone here has had something like this and knows what it is? The "ask a doctor" section for dermatology is down right now so I've come here.

I have had a rash on the back of my lower leg for about a year. I remember it started out looking like a scratch, but I’m not sure if it actually was one or not. It really itches, and Lotrimin doesn’t seem to be doing much. It would be pointless for me to try to describe what it looks like so here is a picture (it's not too graphic, don't worry - whatever it is seems to be pretty mild).

Kind of looks like acne with a bruise. =/

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be contact dermatitis, allergic reaction or eczema. Another possibility is stasis dermatitis which effects the lower limbs mostly. It is mostly from vascular problems in the lower limbs. I would suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist and get the diagnosis confirmed.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
