Menthol crotch?

I had sex a few days ago with a coworker who claimed to be clean.  But for three days I've had a mild menthol sensation comes and goes.  I have sensitive skin and have had reactions to people's fluids before. But it's been a few days and I'd like someone to give a professional opinion.
Basic skin care cream has had a lasting effect.
The sensation is hardly on my penis at all,  mainly just the crotch itself.
The sensation started only a couple hours after sex.
Even at its worst the feelin was/is just odd,  I've been more uncomfortable from using the wrong baby powder or cream.
I'm thinking it's irritation, or at worst it's fungal but the internet isn't very helpful for my specific situation and I'd really like a qualified opinion
