A related discussion,
whitish upper lip was started.
I also get them on my lips. I am a professional trumpet player. They have been on my lips ever since I can remember. I once went to a dermatoligist and they told me it may be a silver allergy from the mouthpiece, but I switched to gold with no change. Any information would be appreciated.
I'm sorry, but I'm drawing a blank as well. The only thing I can think of is that this might be a yeast infection. It couldn't hurt to pick up some over-the-counter 1% clotrimazole to apply twice a day, and to call your dermatologist to ask whether yeast makes any sense. Another diagnostic test we rarely need to use on the lip but might be helpful is a biopsy of affected tissue. I guess another opinion might conceivably be useful.
Take care.

Dr. the area I am taling about that has a lump is just sticking out that far on my lip. Like a cyst or something about the size of an eraser. only it has these white spots in it.
