Stinging toes with red patches, slightly swolen.

Hello, i have been in trouble with my feet for almost 3 weeks now. It started with 4th finger on my right foot which initally was only a small red spot then it grew to 1/3 of the finger, slightly swolen and purplish, all the time stining mostly after wearing shoes. I used for 10 days antifungal cream Lamisil although I didnt have any cracks between fingers. At the moment my right foots toe is not stinging at all but a week ago my left foot 4th finger and 2nd finger on my right foot became red and swolen, stinging like crazy also behinds of my big toes sting although theres no visible red marks. I have been prescribed antibiotics Flucloxacillin by a doctor, also sugar levels were tested for diabetics but were negative. Been taking the pills for 4 days but doesnt seem to get any better. I really need your opinion, thanks.

D:  I have something similar but mine started 5-6 months ago. I ignored it thinking it would go away, but instead, it has spread to other toes and to the outside bottoms of my feet just below the toes and on the heels. It has never itched, but it hurts like heck. Feels like I'm walking on razor blades.
I wore good shoes and socks all winter and am now wearing sandels. (It hurts to wear shoes except for loose tennis shoes). I have a doc appt in 1 week. He's just an GP so I don't expect a great diagnosis. (I live in the hicks). I have a long walking tour scheduled in Nov. & I must get rid of this by then. If I find out anything...I'll let you know. Please let me know how your issue is resolved. Thanks.  (Jann1965)

I have something similar, I was treated for athlete's foot and also bacterial infection just like you. It came back and spread to the other foot. Now they think I may have Raynaud's syndrome and chilblain lupus. Get your doctor to test you for antibodies to these illnesses. In the meantime, to improve circulation in your toes do hot & cold foot bath. Wear socks to keep your feet warm.
