Pityriasis Rosea on genitals

I have been diagnosed with PR and I am pregnant.  I have it on my genitals.  Is it possible?  OR should I think this is something else?  Also, is this more dangerous for my baby?  I'm really worried, can anyone help?  Thanks

I also have PR down there, and it seems that a lot of other people also do on this website..... My is all over my body. Down there on my genitals is most irritated, and itchy. I do only wear pads though and just got off my period. I guess I'm a little relieved I'm not the only person who has been diagnosed with PR and found it to be down there also.

Hi Jdrpd1. I was just wondering, where exactly on your genital area did the PR occur? I'm not trying to get too graphic or too personal but I am very interested because I believe that it also occurred in the same area in my case! Thanks!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Although pityriasis rosea is not dangerous and is self limiting but it has been associated with neonatal hypotonia, hyporeactivity, and premature delivery. An increased risk of miscarriage may occur, especially mothers who developed pityriasis rosea within the first 15 weeks of their pregnancy.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
